All in all they offer terrific service. Besides, guests can park cars on site.

Everything was excellent and exceeded high expectations. My family members and I greatly enjoyed being there. It was in a very central location, also close to the train station. Moreover, it was close enough to the Quay and the walking shopping area, and bars and restaurants. The staff were constantly affable and outstandingly accommodating.

Great service, I greatly enjoyed outstanding food.
It was in a very central setting adjacent to the quay. There was café The Granary Cafe, that I found within 5 minutes' walk of the hotel.

Great choice for trip. Lovely old and gorgeous property with a good breakfast. A wide array of goodies for breakfast. Spotless and bright room, shower facilities, a hairdryer, and bath sheets in the room.

The breakfast, which was an extra €7- per person, was good quality, well cooked and the serving staff very efficient and attentive. Alternative pillows and blankets provided in wardrobe - good idea - as duvet was like a brick.
The room was far too small to have a double & single combination. Two chairs added to the lack of space. Shower cubicle too small - smacked arm off shower receptacle. Window looked out on to back of Guinness brewery with compressor going non-stop followed by a high pitched alarm sounding through the night. I felt it was too expensive for the standard of accommodation offered. Have stayed in way better for the same price.

Whilst rooms were small they were well furnished. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The proprieters were away for a family emergency the weekend I stayed and a former (retired) employee served as our hostess. She could not have been any more cheerful, kind, accomidating and helpful during my stay. It was a delight and she served the house well.
My only complaint is that the wireless internet was not working properly during my stay and that was a disappointment. One of the reasons (but not the principal reason) I chose Portree Guesthouse was because you advertised it as having wi-fi availability, which was helpful - if not necessary - to my business there.

Very welcoming staff, Chris gave us the lowdown on the place and could have supplied all local tips. We made use of the downstairs hostel kitchen briefly, helps with the budget. The room was clean and comfortable, plenty of space to relax, the downstairs lounge room was good.
